AISTS Athlete Scholarship: A New Challenge

March 23, 2016

ARISF has received the following communication from AISTS and would like to share it within the ARISF Members.

The AISTS Athlete scholarship is now in its 5th year in helping former and current professional athletes transition to a second career.

We want to encourage athletes to continue to be involved in sport as they look to take the next step in their career, and that’s why we are continuing to support this scholarship, which contributes to half the tuition fee to the AISTS Master of Sports Administration.

We are opening applications up until 15 May 2015 and we would love it if you could share this opportunity with your network and any athletes you think could benefit from it.

Athletes who have received the scholarship include US Open Water Champion Christine Jennings, double Olympian Enee Udo-Obong of Nigeria, who won Gold in the 4x400m relay at Sydney 2000 and Bronze at Athens 2004 and Germany’s Olympic windsurfer Toni Wilhelm, who first competed at Athens 2004 and is currently qualified for Rio 2016.
