ARISF

The Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) was constituted in 1984. It is currently made up of 32 International Sports Federations.  ARISF represents these federations collectively as one of the pillars to the Olympic Movement and promotes the Olympic spirit through the sports which they govern.

To act as the voice for its members, and to coordinate and defend the common interests of its members, whilst these maintain their authority, independence and autonomy.

To determine the consensus of its members on questions of common interest in relation to the Olympic Movement.

To ensure the largest possible participation in the congresses, programmes and projects of the International Olympic Committee.

To decide on nominations of ARISF representatives on Commissions of the IOC and/or other international sports organisations.
